Coretec Industries, a subsidiary of 3DIcon Corporation (OTCPK: TDCP), was notified of an award from the North Dakota Centers of Excellence Commission for a project entitled “Optimization of the Production of CHS”. Coretec holds the exclusive license for the commercialization of Cyclohexisilane (CHS) originally developed at North Dakota State University (NDSU) and is commercializing the technology with applications in battery storage, solar energy and printable electronics. The award includes $150,000 of state funds that are matched with $150,000 of funds being used by Coretec for scale-up of CHS for sale to customers. The total project cost is $300,000 over the 12-month period of performance. The work will be performed at the Coretec facilities at NDSU and headed up by Prof. Philip Boudjouk, a scientific advisor to Coretec Industries and inventor of the CHS commercialization process. An important goal for the NDSU team is to conduct the study to optimize production on a larger scale. The data provided will be useful for scaling up to pilot plant levels, (25-100 kg).
